The Co-opted Press: Racism and Open Bias!

Today, I want to address the co-opted mainstream media or as I call it the “Pravda of the West”.

There are 3 items I’ve noticed only because I had to dig deep to find them (note: The Harry Reid item was reported here in Vegas, but I didn’t see much anywhere else). This from Tim Grahm:

“Long-time DC TV news anchor Doug McKelway has been suspended by local ABC affiliate WJLA-TV (owned by Allbritton Communications, the same people who own the paper and website Politico) after a standup report last month from a liberal cap-and-trade rally trying to capitalize on the BP oil spill.

"According to several of McKelway's colleagues," reported Paul Farhi in The Washington Post, "the newsman's reporting may have lapsed into partisan territory when he commented live on the air about the oil industry's influence in Washington, particularly its contributions to Democratic politicians and legislators" -- which must have included bigtime BP recipient Barack Obama.”

The story goes on to say that his boss took him to task in front of others and then suspended him for “insubordination while witnesses claim it was his story that truthfully reported contributions to the Dems that got him in hot water in the first place. Again, I did not see anything about this on any mainstream media site. Can’t have the dirty laundry out in the open I guess.

Then there is this one from Diane Suffern:
State Department to send Ground Zero Mosque Imam on third Middle East tour
Not one to rest on its laurels, the administration extends its incredibly tone-deaf streak by sponsoring an overseas “goodwill” trip featuring Feisal Abdul Rauf, executive director of the Cordoba Initiative and proposed Park51 NYC mosque. The ACLJ is filing a complaint with the State Department in an effort to stop taxpayer funding of the trip, Fox News reports:

The State Department confirmed Tuesday that the administration is sponsoring Feisal Abdul Rauf’s trip to Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, which is described as part of a program to send Muslims abroad to educate other countries about the role of religion in the United States. Rauf made similar trips during the Bush administration. [...]

“This shows a tremendous lack of judgment on behalf of the State Department; and for the American taxpayers to be funding this global journey is not only wrong, but deeply offensive,” Jay Sekulow, chief counsel for the organization, said in a written statement. “It seems with each passing day we learn more disturbing information about this project and the people behind it. We demand that the State Department put a halt to the Imam’s participation in this publicly funded trip.” (Emphasis mine.)

At least in this case, I understand why I haven’t seen much on it. After all, a good propaganda organization is not going to publish anything to put a bad light on a corrupt administration that they are in bed with no matter how asinine it is! The vast majority of people in this country are against the mosque at Ground Zero and we sure as hell do not want to be paying for a radical Iman such as this to be representing the U. S. Not only is this an insult to the victims of the attack, but it is in fact a slap in the face to everyone in this country who holds our ideals dear. But why not? After all, Obama has made it quite clear he feels the people of the U.S. have no right to be against his ideas, you know. The Muslims are right and the U.S. is evil! The American people be damned, he will deliver us to his Muslim and Socialist brethren! But as usual, we see no major outcry from the scum known as the mainstream press!

You would think by now the media as a whole would possibly take a look at themselves and clean up their act. Maybe they could report without bias. That however is what is known as a pipe dream. The state press answers to one entity and it sure as hell isn’t the people or their own journalistic ethics! As long as they tow the line for their dictator, oops, I mean President all is well. As such, when something as heinous as the next item on today’s agenda crops up, instead of REPORTING on it, the media falls strangely silent. Case in point?

If I, in a speech said ” a welfare recipient who is healthy and able should try to get a job rather than expect to keep recieving welfare” I would be labled a racist. Please note: There is not one word in that last statement as to race of any kind! I refer to able bodied healthy people who are too damned lazy to get off their asses and work (and for you crybaby libbies out there, I realize the President and country have screwed up the job market as it is. I’m referring to people who are basically lazy takers of which there are many) I would be subject to the worse of vilification by the leftist scum out there as well as be the poster boy of racial hatred in this country as that is the way the main stream press would in fact portray me! So, where is the outcry from those same bastards as to this next item from John McCormack?

Reid Suggests Opponents Want to Target Hispanics Because "Their Skin's a Tone Darker"

Harry Reid's campaign is spinning his statement--"I don't know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican"--claiming that Reid wasn't making a racial argument.

"Sen. Reid’s contention was simply that he doesn't understand how anyone, Hispanic or otherwise, would vote for Republican candidates because they oppose saving teachers’ jobs, oppose job-creating tax incentives for small businesses, oppose investments in job-creating clean energy projects, and oppose the help for struggling, unemployed Nevadans to put food on the table and stay in their homes," reads a statement from the Reid campaign.

In fact, Laura Meyers of the Las Vegas Review Journal reports that Reid made his comment in the context of a discussion about immigration policy and suggested that some want to treat Hispanics differently because "their skin's a tone darker."
U.S. Sen. Harry Reid on Tuesday slammed Republicans for blocking comprehensive immigration reform and told Hispanics they shouldn't be treated differently because "their skin's a tone darker" than that of America's early European immigrants. [...]
"My wife's father was an immigrant from Russia," Reid said of his father-in-law, who was of the Jewish faith at a time of deadly religious persecution across Europe. "He and his family were driven out of Russia. They came for the peace and quiet and safety of the United States.

"Immigration is nothing new," Reid added, speaking to more than 50 mostly activist Hispanics who applauded his anti-GOP remarks. "We are a nation of immigrants. So because the wave of immigrants we have now -- their skin's a tone darker than ours -- doesn't make it any different."

The clear implication of the "their skin's a tone darker than ours" line is that some if not all of those who oppose Reid on immigration are motivated by racism. In other words, Reid's campaign isn't doubling down on his remark so much as it's trying to weasel its way out.”

Can you believe this crap?! The leader of the Senate puts out some of the most racist tripe I have ever seen from a public official! And yet, except for a few courageous reporters out there I either didn’t see anything mentioned on this or worse, those that did finally address it fell over backwards to “explain” exactly what he meant. And, I have yet to see anything on this on the major networks! What? Is Chairman Harry so untouchable? Is this administration and in turn the lap dog media so blind to their own biases? Or is it the fact that they, as always are indeed correct while the majority of the rest of us are too damn dumb and stupid to understand their definition of racism?

Our country is under attack, not only from outside but also from within. It’s there in the open yet when an idiot like Chairman Harry comes up with something as asinine and hateful as the above, the smiling happy go lucky no count bastards who call themselves the Media refuse to do their job! Instead, they dutifully spread the hate! What Harry said, in my book proves beyond a doubt the man has no right to hold any public office including dog catcher (maybe I shouldn’t go that far. That’s an insult to honest working dog catchers).

The sad part is the Media. In their rush to vilify honest people and protect the very rancid scum that they should be exposing they instead show their true colors. The mainstream media is every bit as corrupt as Pravda was in the USSR or the Goebells propaganda machine was in Nazi Germany! When is the so called Free Press actually going to exercise their rights and in fact become what is expected of them?
