SOBAMAISM: Dictatorship In The Making!

Before I get into my rant, my thanks to a certain follower (she can read my mind from far away) for pointing out the name of the Star Trek episode, "The Omega Glory" I cited last week (and many times before for that matter). Our Constitution is being trampled on and I will use any reference I can to remind the electorate of one of the greatest documents ever written! "WE THE PEOPLE!"

In my last column, I stated we were in effect throwing away the American Legacy.

Today, we will start by addressing what I call SOBAMAISM!

SOBAMAISM: Socialism/Dictatorship ala Obama

In the last week, we have seen the government takeover of another huge fraction of our economy. By my estimation (and most level minded experts) the government now controls roughly 52% of the economy! As I have frequently stated, this president has surrounded himself with hard core Socialist advisors and has now proven he is in fact lock step with an Anti-Capitalist, Anti-American agenda. And of course, we have the outright spiteful disregard for the electorate. An aside here. Don’t forget, even the Reverend Sharpton, someone who in my books isn’t the sharpest tack on the board, stated that “America voted overwhelmingly for Socialism” in the last election! Is that really what it has come to? Sure looks like it from my little corner. To bad the electorate “only discovered their mistake once they screwed up by NOT PAYING ATTENTION!

From the wires:
“After the Senate passed a "fix-it" bill Thursday to make changes to the new health care law, Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., chairman of the influential Finance Committee, said the overhaul was an "income shift" to help the poor.” Is this not Socialism?

This from Steve Forbes:
“Recently, the Organization for the American States (OAS) released a new and discouraging, but not unsurprising report about the troubling anti-democratic trend in Venezuela, as Hugo Chavez continues to crack down on those who oppose him – be they in the judiciary, opposition parties or the media. The OAS’s 300 page report by jurists and civil rights activists from Antigua, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and the United States points out the increasing role that violence and murder have played in Chavez’s consolidation of his power, including the documented killing of journalists.
Each day Chavez gets closer to his goal of a Castroite dictatorship.
The Washington Post, in an editorial on Monday, called the report “shocking” and suggested that those who continue to defend Chavez against his” Yanqui imperialist” critics ought to be thoroughly discredited.

Many of Chavez’s most ardent supporters here in the U.S. come out of the “media reform” movement, which believes that our corporate media has been thoroughly co-opted by capitalists bent on destroying the benevolent leadership of the likes of Chavez. They think that our capitalist-plagued media world is in dire need of reform.
The chief proponent of this thinking – which amounts to an unprecedented government intrusion into our own country’s media -- is Professor Robert McChesney, founder of the Orwellian-named Free Press, one of the most influential organizations in the growing “media reform” movement on the far-left.

Free Press’ curious stance on media reform can best be summed up by McChesney who suggests that, “Any serious effort to reform the media system would have to necessarily be part of a revolutionary program to overthrow the capitalist system itself."
Such radical hyperbole coming from the founder of a group called “Free Press” drips with irony. But it’s a rhetorical flourish that Dr. McChesney is apparently quite comfortable with. He has employed it repeatedly to argue that his version of media reform is the first step in the struggle to remake American society in a socialistic fashion. In his attack on the existing media “power structure” in the U.S., he calls for a “class struggle from below…In the end there is no real answer but to remove brick by brick the capitalist system itself, rebuilding the entire society on socialist principles.”

If any of this sounds eerily familiar, it should. It’s right out of Hugo Chavez’s playbook. Like Chavez, Free Press’ call for “media reform” harkens back to a bygone era when the radical left’s doctrinarian opposition to a genuinely free press was rooted in the totalitarian political theories of Marx, Lenin, Hitler and others.”

Excuse me. Is this not hard core Marxist dictatorship heading our way? I could go on for twenty columns listing the statements from these leftist idiots on “What is right for America”, but we’ve already seen them! BTW: Shouldn’t it be an indictment on where we are headed when the likes of Castro and Chavez approve?! Isn’t the fact that the President and his cronies are now going after control of energy and communications a warning sign that things are not right? And what about the horrible propaganda campaign being waged against the “Tea Partiers” and for that matter any person expressing an opinion different from Comrade Obama and his leftist cronies? Who in the hell do they think they are vilifying us for our opinions?! Moron Alert here! This is what a dictatorship does people!

So, we now have SOBAMAISM! Our country, our basic ideals and our heritage are being tossed onto the trash heap by no count Marxist bastards! If something isn’t done now, we have all lost! Which leads to the next item, or as I say, this is what you get from Socialism, something that history teaches but the electorate chose to ignore: The following is from the CBO!

CBO: Debt will be 90% of GDP by 2020

President Obama’s fiscal 2011 budget will generate nearly $10 trillion in cumulative budget deficits over the next 10 years, $1.2 trillion more than the administration projected, and raise the federal debt to 90 percent of the nation’s economic output by 2020, the Congressional Budget Office reported Thursday.
In its 2011 budget, which the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) released Feb. 1, the administration projected a 10-year deficit total of $8.53 trillion. After looking it over, CBO said in its final analysis, released Thursday, that the president’s budget would generate a combined $9.75 trillion in deficits over the next decade.

The federal public debt, which was $6.3 trillion ($56,000 per household) when Mr. Obama entered office amid an economic crisis, totals $8.2 trillion ($72,000 per household) today, and it’s headed toward $20.3 trillion (more than $170,000 per household) in 2020, according to CBO’s deficit estimates.
That figure would equal 90 percent of the estimated gross domestic product in 2020, up from 40 percent at the end of fiscal 2008. By comparison, America’s debt-to-GDP ratio peaked at 109 percent at the end of World War II, while the ratio for economically troubled Greece hit 115 percent last year.

Look at this people! We are bankrupt. And yet, we are still going down the path that has numerous countries (read Greece as an example) on the edge of financial ruin! But what does the president care? Socialism is and always will be about power! The powers that be do not give one damn about you or your country! Only power! Entitlements lead to power. As our founding fathers warned, the people must police their government. Failure to do so leads the the coming dictatorship! SOBAMAISM! I pray we can turn this around for the good of all of us!
